About this spot

This hot spring town, representative of Nishikan Ward, Niigata City, is said to have a history spanning over 1,300 years. Stroll along the street lined with charming inns and restaurants to enjoy the hot spring atmosphere. There's also a free foot bath in town, perfect for soothing your travel fatigue between stops. Take a break here in preparation for the evening's fireworks.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Kamisekigata Park. Bringing a towel is convenient if you plan to use the foot bath. Parking in the hot spring town is limited, so during busy times you may need to park a bit further away.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. In the late afternoon, the sunlight softens, making it a good time for strolling.
