A shopping street spreading in front of Tanashio Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. With restaurants and shops lined up, it has an appealing lively atmosphere rooted in the community. Have lunch to start off this day of fireworks while enjoying the view of the street. As the summer festival on this day is hosted by the Shoei-kai, the entire street is imbued with a festive mood more than usual.

Tips

Just a short walk from Tanashio Station. It can get crowded with shoppers around Obon (mid-August), so an earlier lunch time is recommended.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour required. Restaurants are crowded at lunch time, so arriving early is recommended.
