This hot spring town stretches along the Kinugawa River, lined with restaurants and souvenir shops. It is a perfect spot for dinner before the fireworks begin, where you can enjoy dishes made with local ingredients. The town also has free foot baths, ideal for resting your feet after a day of walking. Take in the steamy hot-spring-town atmosphere as you prepare for the evening fireworks.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Tobu World Square. If you use a foot bath, it is convenient to bring a towel. The area gets crowded from evening onward on fireworks days, so an early dinner is recommended.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. As dusk falls, the lights of the hot spring town begin to glow, adding to the atmosphere.
