About this spot

A small lighthouse standing on the shores of Lake Biwa that has watched over the safety of boats traveling on the lake. The area around the lighthouse opens onto the lakeshore, offering views of the magnificent expanse of Lake Biwa to the opposite shore. It's a favorite spot for local residents to take walks, offering a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. In summer, the breeze crossing the lake is pleasant, making it perfect for a refreshing break.

Tips

It's a short walk or drive from the Ukimido. Since some areas don't have paved paths, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Best time to visit

Takes about 45 minutes. Early afternoon when the breeze is most pleasant is recommended.
