This is the town hall of Shinchi Town (新地町), located at the northern edge of Fukushima Prefecture's Hamadori (浜通り) region, bordering Miyagi Prefecture. Situated in the center of town in the Yachigoya (谷地小屋) area, it serves as the administrative hub of the town, housing service counters and various departments for residents. It's close to JR Shinchi Station (新地駅) on the Joban Line, and the surrounding area has a scattering of restaurants beloved by locals. Some serve menus featuring fresh seafood, fitting for a seaside town — refuel well in this calm town atmosphere before the afternoon ahead.
