Held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, this is the Yukai Shinchi Fireworks Festival, held with the community's bonds in mind as a symbol of recovery from the disaster. The venue, Tsurishihama Beach (釣師浜海水浴場), remains a symbol of Shinchi Town's (新地町) shoreline even after the disaster. During the festival, running from 15:00 to 20:30, you can spend a relaxed day strolling the sand and enjoying the food stalls before the evening fireworks. As night falls, fireworks light up the sky, and the sound and light echoing through the seaside town bring a moving close befitting the end of summer.

Since it's a long stay, be sure to take breaks in the shade during the day and stay hydrated. Roads and parking around the area get congested afterward, so leaving with a time lag is a good idea.
