About this spot

This roadside station spreads along the Chikuma River in Iiyama City, adjacent to Kijimadaira Village, and boasts flower fields in seasonal bloom and a direct-sales corner lined with local produce. You can stroll freely amid the abundant nature of northern Shinshu, and in summer, spend a relaxed time gazing at the colorful flower fields. There's also a snack corner, making it a great place to fill up at the start of the day. It's a fitting starting point for the course, letting you fully feel the bounty of this region.

Tips

Easy to access from the center of the village, with ample parking. Popular items at the summer direct-sales corner can sell out early, so check anything that catches your eye early on. You'll drive to the next stop, Tosenji Temple.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours needed. From morning through early afternoon is when the flower fields look most vivid
