About this spot

A highland lake located at approximately 1,400 meters above sea level, offering a comfortable resort atmosphere with cool breezes even in summer. Swan boats and rowboats float on the lake, and the leisurely journey across the tranquil water is truly special. Hiking trails are also available around the lake, allowing visitors to enjoy the crystal-clear air while walking along the shore. The high elevation ensures a comfortable climate even in midsummer.

Tips

About 30 minutes by car from Suwa IC on the Chuo Expressway. Check the boat types and prices at the dock. Even in summer, mornings and evenings can get cool, so bring a light jacket.

Best time to visit

Takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Early morning through midday offers comfortable conditions.
