Stroll Through Historic Sites Associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo
About this spot
A historic site park said to be where Minamoto no Yoritomo was exiled to Izu. A spacious lawn area features statues of Yoritomo and his wife, allowing visitors to stroll while feeling the romance of history. Located close to the Nira-yama Reverberatory Furnace (韮山反射炉), it is an easy place to visit consecutively as part of a course tracing Izu-no-Kuni City's history.
