A fireworks festival rooted in the community held around Akasaki Kikuko Port in Kotsuura Town. From 8 PM for 30 minutes, approximately 3,000 fireworks burst into the night sky above the port facing the Sea of Japan. The large blooms of light stand out brilliantly against the clear night sky rarely seen in urban areas due to few streetlights, and the sound of the fireworks echoing with the waves offers a different impact than city fireworks.
