About this spot
An observation facility built on a small hill, designed to resemble a castle. From the top-floor observation deck, you can see 360 degrees of the Sendai River's flow and the rural landscape of Kawara Town, with distant mountains visible. The building also displays historical materials about the region, allowing you to deepen your understanding of Kawara Town while enjoying spectacular views. Children will surely delight in the castle-like appearance.

2026年8月1日(土)20時15分から、千代川沿いの河原町河原一帯で開催される第44回鳥取市河原町あゆ祭の花火大会です。約3,000発の花火が清流・千代川の夜空に次々と打ち上がり、川面に映る光とあわせて美しい光景を楽しめます。渓谷散策や歴史散策で河原町の自然と文化にたっぷりふれた1日の締めくくりとして、家族で川辺から夜空を見上げる特別な45分間になるはずです。
Tips
荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の実施状況は鳥取市や大会の公式発表で確認しましょう。河原は足元が不安定な場所もあるので、歩きやすい靴での来場がおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅が安心です。
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Roadside Station Seiryutchayaya Kawahara. An elevator takes you up to the observation deck, making it easy to visit with small children. In summer, the observation room windows can get hot with sunlight.

Takes about 1 hour. Clear afternoon days offer excellent visibility
