Iwatsuki Cultural Park, one of the venues for the Saitama City Fireworks Festival, starts bustling with families waiting for the fireworks as evening approaches. After spreading a leisure sheet on the spacious grounds to secure your spot, fill up on light food from the stalls or the bento you brought. Watching the color of the sky shift as the sun sets is also a unique pleasure of this time of day. While waiting for the show to start, it's nice to relax while fanning yourself with an uchiwa fan.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Iwatsuki Castle Ruins Park. The surrounding roads and parking lots get very crowded on the day of the fireworks festival, so using public transportation is recommended. It's a good idea to get your food and drinks early.
