A historic site where the residence of the Ina clan, who served as the Kanto Magistrate during the Edo shogunate, once stood—the place from which Ina Town takes its name. Remnants of earthen walls and moats still remain, evoking the atmosphere of that era. Surrounded by trees in a quiet environment, this spot allows visitors to feel at ease even without extensive historical knowledge, simply by taking a stroll. Walk slowly with your family while sensing Ina Town's origins.
Tips
About a 5-minute drive from Koshira Shrine. Some areas of the historic site are unpaved, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Information boards are installed, allowing you to explore while reading about the history and enjoying the surroundings.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. With abundant shade, it is easy to walk even during the hot daytime in summer.
