About this spot

This is a wetland designated a National Natural Monument, home to precious plants and animals. A boardwalk runs through the grounds, letting you walk while observing up close the vegetation and creatures unique to a wetland. It is a precious place to encounter nature rarely found in the city, and it also makes a great topic for a summer-vacation independent study project. Ahead of the evening fireworks, it is a fitting spot to start the day amid the quiet of nature.

Tips

Visiting by car is convenient; there is a short walk from the parking lot to the boardwalk entrance. There are many insects in summer, so take thorough insect-repellent measures. The boardwalk can be slippery in places, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

About 1 hour 15 minutes. Late morning through midday, before the temperature fully rises, is comfortable
