View one of Japan's largest rock-fill dams up close
About this spot
A rock-fill dam boasting one of Japan's largest scales, built nestled in the mountains of Ōshū City. From the observation plaza, you can view the grand scale of the embankment stacked up to cover the mountainside up close. The contrast between the calm water surface of the dam lake and the surrounding lush green mountains is also a key highlight. Be sure to enjoy the majestic scenery in daylight from a spot right next to where tonight's fireworks will be launched.

Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で確認しましょう。山あいの夜は真夏でも冷え込むので羽織ものを忘れずに。終了後は山道が混雑するため、余韻を楽しんでから時間差で移動するのがおすすめです。

Within walking distance from the venue. Since summer sun is intense, bring a hat and drinks.

About 1 hour required. It's recommended to view it from late morning through early afternoon when the air is clear.
