A quiet lake known as a brackish water lake spreading across the southwestern part of Izumo City. Walking trails are maintained around the perimeter, allowing for leisurely strolls while viewing seasonal birds and waterside plants. The lake is also known for clam fishing and boasts rich natural waterside scenery, making it a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend time peacefully. Since tonight's fireworks will launch from above this lake, take time during the day to get a feel for the lake's atmosphere.

荒天時の開催可否は出雲市や主催者の公式発表で確認を。終了後は湖畔から駐車場までの道が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめです。足元が暗いのでスマホのライトなどを準備しておくと安心です。
Tips
About 20 minutes by car from JR Izumo Station (JR出雲市駅). In summer, there is little shade available, so a hat and sunscreen are recommended. Binoculars will enhance your bird watching experience.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. The lake surface is calmest and scenery most beautiful from late morning through early afternoon.
