Held at Shinmaiko Marine Park facing Ise Bay, this is Chita City's signature summer beach festival fireworks display. Fireworks launch into the sky above the sea, and the open sandy beach lets you look up at them with nothing blocking the view. The tidal flat and observation tower you explored during the day transform at night into a prime viewing spot for the fireworks. Enjoying seaside fireworks with the sea breeze makes for a fitting climax to the day.

Tips

The event goes ahead even in rain, but will be canceled (with no postponement) if a heavy rain or other severe weather warning is issued. Check the organizer's announcement for information on the day. There is no parking at the venue; a shuttle bus is scheduled to run from Chita City Hall. The area around the venue gets very crowded, so arrive early to secure a spot.

Best time to visit

Fireworks start at 7:00 PM (the Shinmaiko Kitchen Garden food stalls open from 4:00 PM). Secure your spot on the beach at least 30 minutes before the start.
