About this spot

This community center in the Mishima area of Nagaoka City has a 400-seat hall with a stage, a Japanese-style training room, and a cooking practice room, and is used for gatherings, workshops, and lectures. The second floor houses the Nagaoka City Mishima Local History Museum. On the day of the Mishima Festival Grand Fireworks Display, the area starts to bustle in the evening with people securing viewing spots. Surrounded by peaceful rice fields and satoyama scenery, you can relax and watch the sky change color at dusk while waiting for the show to begin.

Tips

About a 15-minute drive from Aore Nagaoka. Roads near the venue can get congested, so allow extra travel time. It's reassuring to have your insect repellent ready by this point as well.

About 1 hour. Around sunset you can enjoy the changing colors of the sky.
