The shopping street that spreads in front of JR Kamo Station, the gateway to Kamo City, also known as "Northern Etsu's Little Kyoto." Traditional eateries and Japanese confectionery shops line the street, creating a leisurely atmosphere perfect for starting your journey. Since the atmosphere becomes busier on the evening of the fireworks festival, it's recommended to take a walk during the daytime first to get accustomed to Kamo's character.

会場周辺は当日混雑するため、早めに到着して場所を確保するのがおすすめです。荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認しましょう。足元が暗いエリアもあるため、小さなライトがあると安心です。

Just steps from JR Kamo Station. Restaurants can be crowded during lunch hours, so visiting early is recommended. You can also walk from here to Aomi Shrine afterward.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. From late morning through early afternoon, you can walk relatively peacefully.
