This park, a symbol of Kamo City, is home to the Squirrel Garden, where you can get up close with squirrels. Watching the small, free-roaming squirrels dash among the trees is a popular sight for families. The lushly green grounds also have walking paths and viewpoints where you can relax while looking out over the town of Kamo.
Tips
About a 10-minute drive from Aomi Shrine. The Squirrel Garden sometimes offers a feeding experience, so check the on-site guidance. There are some slopes in the park, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes. During the cooler afternoon hours, the squirrels tend to be more active.
