Approximately 10,000 fireworks launched from near Takase Bridge upstream (Kikuchi River) fill the night sky with large blooms of light in this open riverside venue along the wide Kikuchi River. The contrast between the light of fireworks reflected on the river surface and the clear autumn night sky is uniquely impressive at this festival. The finale's continuous explosions illuminating the riverbed is a fitting climax to cap off the day.
