About this spot

This park is developed along the banks of the Yato River (八東川), a Class 1 river flowing through Yazu Town. It features a skate park with all 9 patterns, said to be one of the largest of its kind in the Chugoku region, and a 32-hole ground golf course with four standard courses certified by the Japan Ground Golf Association, all set against open views of the surrounding mountains. Tonight, the Kirameki Festival fireworks await. Cool off here by the river during the day and spend a relaxed afternoon surrounded by mountain greenery and the murmur of the clear stream.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Hayabusa Station. Some areas of the riverbank have unstable footing, so sneakers are recommended over sandals. Stay away from the water if it's running high, and check the day's weather as well.

About 1 hour. Late afternoon, when the sunlight softens a little, is a comfortable time to visit
