About this spot

Around Mochigase Station (用瀬駅) on the JR Inbi Line, local shops and eateries are dotted throughout. On the evening of the festival, this is a good time to pick up a takeout dinner. Once you've finished shopping, head to the area around Mochigase-cho Sports Park Ikoi Plaza (用瀬町運動公園いこいの広場), the festival venue, spread out a picnic sheet, and relax until the show begins. Evening in this mountain village flows at a slower, different pace than in the city.

Tips

The area gets crowded from the evening onward on the day of the festival, so pick up food early. Roads around the venue get congested at night, so getting around on foot is recommended.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. It's a good idea to finish shopping before sunset for peace of mind
