About this spot

This shopping street spreads through the center of Kubokawa and also serves as the fireworks venue. Old-fashioned shops and eateries line the street, giving off a simple atmosphere rooted in the daily life of local residents. On the day of the festival, this street and the Pocket Park become the venue, and food stalls line up and liven things up from evening onward. Walking the shopping street during the day makes the atmosphere of the night festival feel closer to you.

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from Kubokawa Station (窪川駅). It's quiet during the day, but traffic restrictions are put in place from 6:00 PM on the day of the festival, so if you're coming by car, check the location of parking beforehand.
