About this spot

This station, served by JR Shikoku's Yodo Line and the Tosa Kuroshio Railway's Nakamura-Sukumo Line, is the gateway to Shimanto Town. Also known as the starting station of the Tosa Kuroshio Railway, its station building and platforms retain the laid-back atmosphere typical of a local line, and it's popular with train-loving children too. There's also a tourist information center in front of the station, convenient for gathering information about strolling the surrounding area.

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from Iwamotoji Temple (岩本寺). Trains don't run very frequently, so it's recommended to take your time looking around while checking the timetable.
