An arcade shopping street with a Showa retro atmosphere, extending from Shinkaichi, which once flourished as Kobe's most vibrant commercial district. Signs and buildings that recall the era when movie theaters and performance halls lined the street still remain, and simply walking through conveys the area's history. As you make your way to Minato River Shrine, enjoy the distinctive warmth and humanity of this downtown atmosphere.
Tips
Within walking distance of Nofukuji Temple. The arcaded section is comfortable in summer as it shields from direct sunlight. Many restaurants are also available for refreshment breaks.

About 50 minutes. Early afternoon is relatively pleasant for walking.
