About this spot
A hands-on science museum operated by Koshigaya City with numerous interactive exhibits where you can learn scientific principles by actually manipulating objects. A planetarium is also available where families can learn about the universe together. Special exhibitions are often held during summer vacation, designed to keep children engaged and entertained. The air-conditioned interior is perfect for escaping the summer heat while enjoying educational exhibits.

南越谷駅から新越谷駅周辺にかけて、2026年は8月21日から23日までの3日間開催される、関東でも有数の規模を誇る阿波踊りです。会場内のふるさと広場には屋台も並び、祭りムードを盛り上げます。「ヤットサー、ヤットヤット」の威勢のいい掛け声とともに、揃いの衣装に身を包んだ連が次々と目の前を通過し、沿道は観客の熱気に包まれます。徳島の本場さながらの本格的な踊りを、東京近郊で気軽に楽しめるのがこの祭りの魅力です。
Tips
当日は駅周辺で大規模な交通規制がかかるため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。よい場所で観たい場合は開始前から沿道に位置を確保しておきましょう。夜は人出が多くなるため、子どもとはぐれないよう注意してください。
