A bustling shopping street with a strong Showa retro atmosphere, located at the base of Tsutenkaku Tower. Shops serving traditional Osaka street food, especially deep-fried skewers, line the streets, and the unique landscape crowded with lanterns and signs is enjoyable just by walking through. It's perfect for getting an early dinner and experiencing the atmosphere before heading to the Tenshibanatsu Festival venue.

Tips

Within walking distance from Tennoji Zoo. At deep-fried skewer shops, there's an etiquette rule of not double-dipping in sauce, so remind children about it. The area gets crowded with tourists in the evening.

Best time to visit

Approximately 40 minutes. Early evening is relatively less crowded for entering restaurants.
