An ancient shrine in Tano Town said to enshrine Umisachihiko, a figure from Hyuga mythology. The grounds, surrounded by trees, are enveloped in quietness, making it a suitable stop to calm your mind before heading to the taiko festival. A shrine long revered by the local community where you can feel Tano Town's history and culture.

Tips

From Michi-no-Eki Yamanonokuchi, traveling by car is convenient. There are stone steps and slopes on the grounds, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In summer, the shade of the trees keeps it pleasantly cool.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes. The late afternoon hours are refreshingly shaded and pleasant.
