About this spot

A UNESCO World Heritage site encompassing a silver mine that operated for nearly 400 years from the 16th century, with the entire town streetscape registered as heritage. In the central Ōmori district, samurai residences, merchant houses, and temples still remain, creating a calm streetscape that evokes the lifestyle of that era. You can extend your walk to one of the mine tunnels, the Ryūgenji-ma, and experience the silver mine's history more deeply.
