An ancient Nichiren temple known nationwide for its Setsubun Demon Dancing Festival, with a Demon Hall enshrining demons on its vast temple grounds. With a long history as the center of faith in Sanjō, the tranquil grounds flowing through the seasons are just the right size to walk slowly through after the blacksmith experience. Walking through the grounds enveloped in summer greenery, you can touch upon the history of Sanjō.

金属加工の町として発展してきた三条市で毎年夏に開かれる三条夏まつりは、2026年は7月31日(金)・8月1日(土)の開催で、その初日を訪れます。本町通りには夜店が軒を連ね、地元の人々でにぎわう活気ある通りが広がります。五十嵐川の河川敷では花火が打ち上げられ、川面に映る光の景色は多くの人を魅了します。ものづくりの町ならではの、地域に根ざした温かみのある夏祭りの夜を、家族でゆっくり楽しみましょう。

Tips

会場周辺は花火観覧の時間帯に多くの人が集まるため、よい場所で見たい場合は早めの場所取りがおすすめです。周辺は交通規制がかかることがあるため、公共交通機関や徒歩でのアクセスが安心です。河川敷は夕方以降に虫が増えることがあるため、虫よけがあると快適です。
