A traditional observance held annually by the Sonai and Hoshitate communities on auspicious dates by the traditional calendar. Held July 28-29, 2026, for two consecutive days. Dedication performances and sacred rites inherited from the Ryukyu Kingdom era are conducted at the settlement's sacred sites and plazas. It is one of the year's most important festivals for islanders, representing faith and performing arts deeply rooted in island life—a precious opportunity to witness a tradition not overly commercialized.
