An experiential museum showcasing fossils and geological discoveries from the Taga area. Exhibits feature deer and elephant-ancestor fossils unearthed locally, along with the region's natural history. A hands-on fossil-excavation corner lets visitors experience the thrill of uncovering specimens themselves. Conveniently located between Hikone and Taga Shrine, the park ignites children's curiosity.

Tips

Approximately 20 minutes by car from Hikone Castle. Hands-on corners can get crowded; visiting earlier in the afternoon is recommended. The air-conditioned interior offers a refreshing summer retreat.
