This roadside station displays Yamaga's agricultural produce and local specialties, and is a place to relax while enjoying meals and sweets made with local ingredients. Having an early dinner here before heading to the evening venue, Omiya Shrine, lets you enjoy the festival itself at a relaxed pace. The souvenir corner also carries small items themed around the Yamaga Toro Matsuri and local specialties, perfect as a memento of your trip. It can get especially crowded during the festival period, so arriving early is reassuring.

Tips

It's just a few minutes' drive from the venue, Omiya Shrine. Roads in the area get congested on the day of the festival, so allow extra time to travel. There's also a wide selection of takeout menu items.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. Arriving before 5:00 p.m. makes moving on to the venue smoother.
