The 2026 Aizu Festival is held from September 19-21 throughout Aizuwakamatsu, centered around Aizu-Tsurugajo and Shinmei Street. One of the largest autumn festivals in the Aizu region, it features processions of Aizu feudal lords and notable historical figures, along with various events each day. Lantern parades and dance performances create a historic atmosphere along the castle town streets. After following Aizu's history through Aizu-Tsurugajo, Iimori Mountain, and the samurai residence, experience the power of traditional festivities woven into this place as the perfect closing to your day.
