This shrine is located in the Ichiichiichi district of Hachirogata Town and has long been deeply connected to the local festivals and traditions of this area. Ichiichiichi has a history dating back to the Edo period as a merchant town, and the Bon Odori dance tradition is said to be one of the customs that developed within the community's daily life. 八郎潟町一日市地区の上町大通りを会場に、2026年8月18日(火)から20日(木)まで開かれる地域の盆踊りです。江戸時代から市が立つ町として栄えた一日市らしく、大通りにやぐらが組まれ、太鼓のリズムに合わせて浴衣姿の踊り手たちが輪をつくります。派手さはありませんが、地域の人々が世代を超えて集う、素朴で温かい雰囲気の盆踊りです。日中に神社や調整池をめぐって八郎潟町の歴史と風土にふれた1日の締めくくりに、この地に根づいた夏祭りの空気を味わいましょう。
Tips
会場周辺は夜間車両の通行に注意が必要な箇所があります。踊りの輪は誰でも自由に参加できます。夜は虫よけがあると快適に過ごせます。

The shrine has parking available, though the number of spaces is limited. The pathway has some natural ground surfaces, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
Best time to visit
Approximately 40 minutes. Early afternoon is relatively quiet for paying respects.
