This is a local Bon Odori festival held from August 18-20, 2026 (Tuesday-Thursday) along Kamimachi Odori in Ichiichiichi district of Hachirogata Town. True to Ichiichiichi's heritage as a merchant town since the Edo period, a festival tower (yamagata) is erected on the main street, and dancers in yukata form circles to the rhythm of the drums. While unpretentious, this Bon Odori carries a warm and genuine atmosphere where community members of all ages gather. As the finale to a day spent exploring Hachirogata Town's history and landscape through shrine visits and pond viewing, experience the spirit of this local summer festival rooted in the community.

Be careful of vehicle traffic in the venue area at night. The dance circle is open to anyone who wishes to participate. Insect repellent is recommended for comfort during the evening.

Starting at 5 PM, the atmosphere is most lively from 6 PM onward when the dance circles are at their largest.
