佐世保市の福石観音清岩寺で毎年夏に営まれる「四萬六千日祭」です。2026年は8月8日(土)から10日(月)にかけて開催され、この日にお参りすると4万6千日分のご利益があるといわれる縁日として、地元の人々に長く親しまれてきました。このコースでは初日である8月8日の夜を主役に据えています。昼間に亀山八幡宮でお参りをしたあと、夜は境内に立ち並ぶ夜店をひやかしながら、家族で夏の縁日らしい時間を過ごせます。線香の香りと夜店の賑わいが入り混じる境内は、佐世保の夏を象徴する光景のひとつです。
