The "Summer Festival Matsumoto Bonbon" is held in the central business district stretching from Matsumoto Station to the Matsumoto Castle area. In 2026, it will be held on Saturday, August 1st from 5:30 PM to 7:18 PM, with numerous dance groups from citizens, companies, schools, and other organizations parading through the city streets with the cry "Bonbon, bonboko-bonbon." The charm of Matsumoto Bonbon is that anyone can freely join the dancing circles, and tourists can easily participate in this open and welcoming atmosphere. In this course, after visiting the sightseeing spots of the castle town during the day, you experience the same streets being filled with the excitement of the dance in the evening.
