Handmade Neputa Floats Parade from the Station Through Town
About this spot
Held August 2-3, 2026, this summer festival brightens Hirakawa. Neputa floats crafted by local neighborhood associations and children's groups parade slowly from Hiraka Station toward Daily Yamazaki Hirakawa, accompanied by flutes and drums. Unlike the grand festivals of Hirosaki or Goshogawara, Hirakawa's intimate scale creates closeness between participants and spectators. This small-town celebration showcases the warm, genuine Tsugaru summer festival spirit passed down through generations.
