Held on August 1, 2026, this flame festival symbolizes Fujinomiya, the town of Mt. Fuji worship. Centered on Fujisan Sengen Taisha Main Shrine, fire-related rituals, valiant mikoshi, and taiko performances unfold throughout the downtown area, expressing the faith and passion of a town that has lived with Mt. Fuji alongside flames. As the night deepens, excitement builds and the entire town becomes enveloped in the glow of flames, creating a special scene seen nowhere else.

Tips
The Sengen Shrine area becomes crowded with spectators before the start. To secure a good spot, being in the vicinity from around 4 PM is recommended. Since fire is involved, follow staff guidance and keep a safe distance.
Best time to visit
Starting from 5 PM. After sunset when flames illuminate the town is the most spectacular.
