Held on August 8, 2026, this summer Awa Odori colors the city of Susono spreading across Mt. Fuji's foothills. Centered around Susono Station's Central Shopping Street, local and nearby dancers parade with the chant "Yatto Sa, Yatto Yatto." The graceful flowing movements of women dancers in editor-hats and yukata intersect with the powerful vigor of male dancers in happi coats on the shopping street, bringing summer's fervor to the peaceful Mt. Fuji foothills town.
