Play to the full on the floating obstacle course until evening
About this spot
Takeno-chick Lagooon is a floating aquatic obstacle course that appears at Takenohama Beach in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. In 2026 it operates from Saturday, July 18 to Tuesday, September 8, in 50-minute sessions with rotating entry (operating dates differ between regular and peak days). Floating bridges, trampolines, slides and other obstacle features are linked together on the water, and the appeal is playing with your sense of balance while sending up plenty of spray. Set against the clear waters of Takenohama on the Sea of Japan, it is a summer activity with a different flavour from ordinary sea bathing.
Tips
It is reassuring to check fees, facility details and the day's time slots on the official website before setting out. Play is based on wearing a life jacket, so it is set up for children who are not confident swimmers to try alongside a guardian. Bring clothes you do not mind getting wet and a bag to keep your removed clothes together.
Best time to visit
A session around noon lets you make full use of the afternoon and enjoy it thoroughly until evening
