About this spot

At the children's animal park inside Ageo Maruyama Park (上尾丸山公園), you can meet small animals such as rabbits, goats and birds. It is free and easy to drop into, and because it sits in the same park as the Seseragi water play area, there is no travel hassle. Time spent with the animals sparks children's curiosity. Moving around a little before water play also serves as a good warm-up for the afternoon.

上尾丸山公園にある「せせらぎ」は、浅い流れで安心して遊べる無料の水遊び場です。清掃日を除き通年開放されており、4〜9月は午前9時頃から午後5時頃まで、10〜3月は午前11時頃から午後3時頃まで利用できます。水深が浅いため小さな子どもでも安心して水に触れられ、周囲は木陰も多く、大人が見守りながらひと休みできるのも魅力です。近所での気軽なおでかけ先として、地元の家族に長く親しまれています。

Tips

令和8年度は6/16〜18、7/14〜16、8/18〜20ほかに清掃予定日が設定されているため、訪問前に上尾市の公式情報で最新の開放状況を確認しておくと安心です。水は浅いとはいえ小さな子どもからは目を離さず、レジャーシートを敷いて休憩スペースを確保しておくと過ごしやすくなります。

Tips

If there are set feeding times, checking the park's official information in advance makes the visit more enjoyable. Most paths inside are paved, so it is easy to get around with a stroller.
