Kawagoe-kan Site Historic Park (河越館跡史跡公園) is a nationally designated historic site created from the residence grounds of the Kawagoe clan, warriors active from the Kamakura through the Muromachi periods. Parts of the moats and earthworks have been restored within the park, letting you quietly sense traces of the samurai residence of the time. The spacious grounds surrounded by greenery are uncrowded and calm, making them perfect for a relaxed morning. It is an open space where even children who know little about history can have fun simply walking the moats and open areas.

なぐわし公園PiKOAは、川越市の公園内に整備されたスポーツ・入浴施設で、屋内の温水プールを備えています。通年営業で、月・火・木・金は9時から23時、土日祝は9時から21時まで利用でき、天候に左右されず1年を通して泳ぎ込めます。午前の史跡めぐりや水辺散策で歩いた後、屋内プールでしっかり体を動かすことで、1日の締めくくりにふさわしい時間を過ごせます。露天風呂などの入浴設備も備わっているため、泳いだ後にゆっくりくつろぐこともできます。

Information boards are well provided, so reading the historical explanations as you stroll deepens your understanding. There is a lawn area too, so taking a short break is also recommended. The parking lot is small, so consider nearby coin parking when it is busy.
