Michi-no-Eki Doshi (道の駅どうし) is a rest facility at the gateway to Doshi Village, with a direct-sales corner lined with fresh locally grown vegetables and specialties. 道志川は、南都留郡道志村を流れる清流で、透明度の高い水質から釣りや川遊びのスポットとしても親しまれています。道の駅どうしの裏手からアクセスでき、施設の利用時間は9時から18時までですが、河原自体は常時アクセスが可能です。深い山々に囲まれた静かな環境で、川のせせらぎを聞きながら家族でのんびり水遊びを楽しめます。
Tips
山あいの川のため水はかなり冷たいので、日差しの高い時間帯に遊ぶのがおすすめです。岩場は滑りやすいので、川用のシューズを準備しましょう。飲み物や着替えは道の駅で調達してから向かうとスムーズです。
Tips
The parking lot is free to use. Restrooms are available 24 hours, which is also handy for breaks between sessions of river play. The selection changes with the season, so look for what is in season.
Best time to visit
About 30 minutes. A short break as a stop between drives is recommended
