Masumida Shrine (真清田神社) is the first shrine of Owari Province, from which Ichinomiya City takes its name, and it has long been cherished as a symbol of the town. The approach stretching from in front of Ichinomiya Station bustles with shoppers, so you can also enjoy the atmosphere of a town walk. The precincts are large, and calm air wraps the area around the main hall surrounded by trees. After worshipping you can walk the grounds slowly and touch the town's history. It is a perfect first step for the morning before heading to the pool.
Tips
It is within walking distance of Meitetsu Ichinomiya Station and JR Owari-Ichinomiya Station, making it easy to reach. The approach is paved and easy to walk with a stroller.
Best time to visit
About 40 to 50 minutes. The calm morning hours are recommended.
