The Tofu Memorial Museum (道風記念館) is a museum associated with Ono no Tofu (小野道風), a calligrapher of the Heian period. Its calm exhibition spaces let you touch the history and works of calligraphy and spend a quiet stretch of time. The building is compact in scale, so it can be viewed comfortably even in a short time, which is part of its appeal. The surroundings have an atmosphere like a garden wrapped in greenery, so strolling is enjoyable too. It is just the right spot to round off the morning before heading to the pool.
Tips
It is an easy drive from Ochiai Park. Exhibition contents may change periodically, so if you are interested, checking the opening status in advance is reassuring.
Best time to visit
About 30 to 45 minutes. Stopping by during the morning is recommended.
