Toyohashi Park (豊橋公園) is a green park laid out on the site where Yoshida Castle (吉田城) once stood. You can touch the history of Toyohashi while looking at the castle's stone walls and the reconstructed Kurogane Turret. Plazas and walking paths are laid out through the grounds, so even just strolling makes for a pleasant stretch of time. The scenery along the Toyokawa River (豊川) is beautiful too, making it a perfect spot for a short break. It can be enjoyed casually as a brief stop before heading to the pool.
Tips
There is a car park, making it easy to reach by car. Some places have stone steps and changes in level, so hold small children's hands while walking.
Best time to visit
About 30 minutes. Stopping by briefly before midday is recommended.
