About this spot

This pond is located on the northeast side of Toneri Park (舎人公園), where cattails and reeds grow naturally along the water's edge. It serves as a habitat for birds such as spot-billed ducks and little grebes, as well as various fish and insects, and its appeal lies in the relaxed atmosphere of gazing over the wide water surface and the park's greenery. It offers a different kind of connection with water than Jabujabu Pond (じゃぶじゃぶ池), and after searching for waterside creatures, taking a short break before heading to Jabujabu Pond makes for a nice flow.

Tips

Boat rentals are often available in fixed time slots, so there may be a wait during busy periods. Prepare a hat and sunscreen for times when the sun is strong.
